We are an association of ancient fencing founded at the end of the year 2006, when the illusion of a group of comrades interested in the western martial arts and in the fencing, led us to create a group of ancient fencing in the city of A Coruña.
In those days, some people practising sport fencing were experimenting and learning thanks to agreements and to the communication with other groups of major experience inside of the national panorama, and step by step, while time passing we have been increasing the quantity of enthusiast fencers who want to train with us.
In addition, our interest spreads over the diverse cultural aspects that were forming the life of the Middle Ages, of the Renaissance and of the Baroque; we are a very open association with a very heterogeneous group of persons plenty of interests, but a common factor joins us: the desire to do things. Thus, in spite of that our association is focused on the study of fencing and the organization of events to promote the diffusion and learning of ancient fencing, many of our members are also interested in historical recreation, knowledge of weapons used in the past and the different aspects that were marking experiences of the people in that time: music, gastronomy, etc.
